Going to Ojai has been on our bucket list for a long time now, so we were thrilled when the opportunity to stay at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa arose.
We were delighted when we walked into our room to discover it was nearly the size of all three of our bedrooms combined. Our room contained two queen beds and two sofas, along with a terrace and a huge bathroom. Many rooms even have a fireplace!
Aside from the room, the amentities, and the atmosphere of the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa, we loved the way the resort was designed. Everything from the restaurants to the pools to the rooms were designed and decorated beautifully. The architecture was a lovely Spanish style, something we obviously (living in Santa Barbara) love. The entire feel of the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa was extremely relaxing, fun, nice, and rather serene: the sort of place you enter and never want to leave. Hanging in the background of it all were the stunning Topatopa Mountains. As you can probably imagine, the sunsets were out of this world.
The food was tantalizingly good as well. We never left the resort for food, since there are so many great food options on resort. The Ojai Valley Inn and Spa had everything from casual to fancy. The views, however, were across the board - whether it was off the golf course, the pools, or the mountains, or even all three.
Overall, we would highly recommend the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa. We had a fantastic time there and are already eager to return!
A little bit about us...
We're a family of four (a daughter, a son, and their mother and father.... oh, and a six-month old Standard Poodle puppy). But we all share one thing in common: our love of travel and adventure!
Hotel of the Month
Solage Calistoga: the image of perfection. We stayed here recently on our trip to Napa Valley and couldn't have been more amazed at this stunning resort. The rooms, each one an individual cottage, were immaculate and private. The property itself contained multiple pools and other amenities, all of which were designed beautifully. One of our favorite parts had to be the Michelin-star restaurant, which served some of the best food we'd ever eaten. Solage Calistoga was the perfect fit for our family (and dog!), and we are eager to stay there again.
